Let's just say this is semi-auto biography. And I quite enjoyed reliving some of the memories of that time.
Surely, I cannot be the only one who went through this stage of trying to do what the grownups do, to prove to myself I was actually a grownup?
I reckon that most lads went through this phase of becoming an adult.
I was lucky to have my old man poke the borax at me and the lads as we gave it our best and tried all the various chat up lines that hadn't really worked for the old man.
Guys it's some help to know other lads went through this phase. Girls, read it and see what the lads go through as they try and become Stud muffins!
One of the most enjoyable books I have ever written It was fun to write and I got the idea from a stone pillar reading 'Jesus saves' and someone had written "with Westpac" below it. I started writing and it almost wrote itself. Almost as if was being dictated to me. It would make a great movie, but I can't see anyone using the script as we are all far too PC to do anything nowadays.
As always, enjoy the read but if your faith is a little insecure, maybe you should give this one a miss.
Definitely another fun book to write and read.
'I have Angels' is one of those books that kept niggling away at my subconscious until I finally sat down and wrote it out. several readers have said how much they enjoyed it and wondered if there is some truth in the tale. I can only say it came to me one night and it kept reappearing until I got it down on paper.
It's an odd book but it deals with past life recalls.
Is that spooky enough for you? I went through a sleep phase where I was told to ask about my previous lives and I would have them shown to me, if it was appropriate. On a couple of occasions, I went back the next night to exactly the point I had left the previous dream.
Is it real? I really don't know but it certainly explained a few things for me in this life where I struggle.
Mickey Carter is dead. It seems he has been dead for around forty years.
The only problem for Mickey is that no bugger told him he was dead! Having lived a life (literally) of petty crime. He died in his early twenties when he got a belt from a burglar alarm he was trying to cross wire.
He now has to earn his angel wings by doing good things. Unfortunately, Mickeys idea of doing good always seems to be using some of the habits he acquired in his previous life. with usually undesired results.
Claire is another Angel in awaiting who gets lumbered with Mickey and between them they stumble forward with their tasks while awaiting their appointment with the Angel review board. It's funny and touching and there's a little bit of romance brewing that neither of them realizes until it's almost too late.
